Masjid Event Visitor Policy

1. Upholding The Quran & Sunnah

  • The Masjid is a house of worship dedicated to teaching and preserving Islam according to the Quran and the authentic Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, as understood by the mainstream scholars of Ahl al-Sunnah wal-Jama’ah.

  • All speakers, presentations, and activities conducted on Masjid premises must:

    • Uphold Islamic manners, conduct, and etiquette

    • Avoid content that contradicts established Islamic teachings

    • Avoid sectarian, partisan, or divisive speech

    • Avoid political campaigning or organizational recruitment

  • The Masjid reserves the right to review or deny any speaker, topic, or material that is inconsistent with Islamic principles or the mission of the Masjid.

2. Indemnity & Liability

  • The applicant, all speakers, and any associated organizations agree to conduct their activities in a lawful and responsible manner while on Masjid premises.

  • The applicant acknowledges that the Masjid is a house of worship and agrees that no actions will be taken which may:

    • Endanger attendees, staff, or property

    • Disrupt religious services or classes

    • Create conflict, sectarian fitnah, political campaigning, or unsafe conditions

  • The applicant agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Masjid, its Board, volunteers, and community members from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, or expenses arising out of:

    • The event or program

    • Actions of the applicant or their guests

    • Injury or property damage caused by the applicant or their guests

  • The Masjid assumes no responsibility for theft, loss, or damage to personal or organizational equipment, materials, or property brought onto the premises.

3. Recording, Media, and Broadcasting

  • Recording Declaration:
    The applicant must declare in advance whether the event will be:

    • Audio recorded

    • Video recorded

    • Livestreamed

    • Photographed

  • Control of Recorded Content:
    If recording occurs, the applicant must specify:

    • Who owns or controls the footage

    • Where it will be stored

    • Who will be granted access

  • Posting & Publication Rights:

    • The applicant must disclose if content will be posted publicly (e.g., YouTube, TikTok, IG, Facebook, websites, podcasts)

    • The Masjid reserves the right to prohibit posting of content that misrepresents the Masjid or its community

  • Masjid Media Rights:
    The Masjid reserves the right to:

    • Restrict recording in prayer areas

    • Prohibit live broadcast during Jumu’ah, class sessions, or private counseling

    • Request a copy of recorded material for review if issues arise

4. Violations & Enforcement

  • The Masjid reserves the right to cancel, stop, or remove any recording activity that:

    • Violates safety, privacy, or Islamic etiquette

    • Misuses the Masjid name, facility, or brand identity

  • Failure to comply with this policy may result in:

    • Immediate suspension of the event

    • Removal from the premises

    • Bans on future events or speakers
