Masjid Event Visitor Policy
1. Upholding the Quran & Sunnah
The Masjid is a house of worship dedicated to teaching and preserving Islam according to the Quran and the authentic Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, as understood by the mainstream scholars of Ahl al-Sunnah wal-Jama’ah.
All speakers, presentations, and activities conducted on Masjid premises must:
Uphold Islamic manners, conduct, and etiquette.
Avoid content that contradicts established Islamic teachings.
Avoid sectarian, partisan, or divisive speech.
Avoid political campaigning or organizational recruitment.
The Masjid reserves the right to review or deny any speaker, topic, or material that is inconsistent with Islamic principles or the mission of the Masjid.
2. Language
No speaker shall address the congregation exclusively in a language other than English unless a translator is present to translate the speech into English.
3. Responsibility & Liability
Applicants, speakers, and participating organizations are expected to conduct their activities in a safe, respectful, and responsible manner.
Activities should not:
Endanger attendees, staff, or property.
Disrupt religious services or classes.
Create unnecessary conflict, fitnah, political campaigning, or unsafe conditions.
Applicants are responsible for the conduct of their guests and for any damage or injury resulting from their activities.
The Masjid is not responsible for theft, loss, or damage to personal or organizational property brought onto the premises.
4. Recording, Media, and Broadcasting
Please inform the Masjid in advance if the event will be:
Audio recorded.
Video recorded.
Livestreamed.
Photographed.
If recording is planned, please identify who will manage the footage and whether it will be shared publicly.
Public posting of content should accurately represent the Masjid, the event, and the community.
The Masjid may limit or restrict recording in certain situations, including prayer areas, Jumu’ah, classes, or private counseling settings.
5. Policy Compliance
We ask all guests, speakers, and organizers to cooperate with these guidelines.
If concerns arise, Masjid leadership may pause or stop an activity in order to protect safety, privacy, Islamic etiquette, or the integrity of the program.
Repeated or serious violations may affect approval of future events or speakers.
